Writers on Strike
Word Count: 147If you watch any of the contemporary modern shows on television that have their scripts written anytime soon before the filming of the show, you’re out of luck. The writers of many modern TV series have gone on strike, meaning that there are some series who won’t have a new episode to air within two or three days from now, so you might find yourself stuck with some reruns.
I’m a LOST fan. Luckily, the LOST writers have already written 16 of the 18 episodes for the season starting in January. (Filming is taking place right now) so there will probably not be any visible delay of LOST starting and ending on time in the upcoming season. For other shows, especially daily shows, however, there will most likely be reruns claiming the air within the next few days.
What’s the strike over? A measly 4 cents…. per DVD sold.
