Why I support Mike Huckabee
Word Count: 298First of all, I understand that many of my readers may have ideas that differ from mine, and if you support another candidate or have different ideas, I in no way mean to offend you. In fact, I usually stray away from political or controversial topics, but this time I really felt like I should at least say something.
I support Mike Huckabee because he shares similar values that I do; values on human life, values on family, values on the arts in education, etc. He is now the only major candidate in the race who seems to be strong on illegal immigration, yet he isn’t overly harsh in his plan to solve the problem. He supports the FairTax, which may not make sense at first, but after thinking on it and putting it on paper, you will likely realize that it works in theory, and should work in action as well. He is proving so far that a campaign can succeed without a ton of money, and if he were to win the race, it would be history-making. Most of all, Huckabee seems real. All of the other major candidates, to me, seem that they are putting on masks to try and get support. Even McCain is supposedly trying to change his strategies so that he can market himself to conservatives.
If you are looking for a candidate to support, or if you were a previous Romney supporter, I encourage you to visit Huckabee’s site at http://mikehuckabee.com.
Ask yourself this. Does your vote reflect your morals? If it does, no matter who the candidate, then you are making the right choice for you. If you are disregarding moral issues just because one seems electable, then you are allowing the media to coronate a candidate for you.
Choose for yourself.
