This is not something that I am currently involved in, although it is something that is quite interesting: portable card readers and portable receipt printer. I can see a lot of places that this could come in handy for business, especially a consultant or freelancer who goes from place to place to conduct business. The combination of these technologies would allow him or her to accept payments on the go and provide customers with a valid receipt. That seems like it would save a lot of clerical work down the road.
