Planes are still safer
Word Count: 131Wreck rates in the united states are going up. Airplanes however, are staying just as safe, which is much safer than cars. You are more likely to want Death insurance if you drive a car than if you fly on an airplane. Even with terrorism threats and the fact that more people die in one plane crash than in one car crash, there are much less plane crashes. The ratio shows it, the death rate of flying people is much less than that of driving people.
On a side note, did you know that the Astro, the big clunky minivan, is the lowest death rate for any driving passenger vehicle? I thought that was interesting. If you drive a sports car, be careful; they have much higher death rates.
