Old paintings are really interesting to look at. Although technology of the 1800’s may be extremely outdated, the paintings and art techniques developed during the 1800’s are still at use today, in many cases. Aside from the art techniques, it is interesting to look and see what cultural items you can see in the paintings. In many cases, it’s easy to see things such as horses, breeches, or oil lamps in the scenes. However if you look a bit deeper, you can even see references to the political era, or even other messages hidden within the meaning of the painting. It’s really interesting!
