mmm… garlic bread

You want to know what a really really good snack is? Go to Albertsons if you have one near you, and they sell French bread loafs there for 99 cents, a great deal. Buy one of those, then take a slice off. Put butter, garlic, and a little salt on the bread and then toast it just enough until only the crust is crispy, not the inner part of the bread.  Man, that is really really good food.

Also, the top commenter thing is on its way. I’ve had some problems getting the file unzipped, for some reason.

    @MM: Yeah, I forget that sometimes. :D
    Basically Albertsons is a typical grocery store chain, in case anyone else is wondering.

    Hmm, that sounds good. And easy. My kind of snack.

    Wow! You just reminded me how much I miss Albertson’s French Bread, especially when they put it out warm!

    Unfortunately we live out on a ranch in the middle of nowhere in Washington (beautiful area though), with no Albertson’s in sight. My wife would cut the loaf in half, spread it with a 50/50 mix of butter and olive oil with gobs of chopped garlic, and broil it faces up. Man was that good.

    Albertson’s may be a typical grocery chain, but their fresh french bread is not. Now I need to plan another 2-hour trip to get some this weekend!
