Do any of you follow your local football teams? (High school or college; NFL sorta counts but I wouldn’t truly consider them to be “local”)
There’s just something about being out at night under the bright outdoor lighting that attracts all those bugs, listening to the cheers of the crowd and the music playing, and eating the unhealthy but semi-tasty concession stand food.
I have to admit that I’m not your biggest fan of football, and if I’m at home and there’s a game on, I’m one of the last people who’d actually turn on the game and watch it, but from time to time especially at local games, football is fun to watch.

Anyway, the local teams are nearing playoffs in many places across the country. I’ll be interested to see who wins in each area!

You’re right, there is something exciting about local high school football. I guess it’s because I know some of the players’ parents. And there’s a community atmostphere in the stands which is really neat.
