Well, let me give you a little background information and explain. This really cool site that I found, MyWallSt.net, allows you to trade virtual stocks online with no risk involved. By doing so, they are allowing new people to learn how to trade, casuals to have fun in a realistic simulation, or for veterans to try out a new trading strategy. You start out with $100,000 of virtual trading money. (Not only that, but when you sign up for FREE, you get a FREE hat!)
First of all, I’d like to recommend that you sign up. It’s free, so what could go wrong? And that free hat definitely is a good incentive to check this out. And better yet, there is a weekly prize of $1000 buckaroos given out, so if you’re feeling smart (or lucky), then this is definitely a contest for you to check out. Either way, it’s a win win situation. :)

So, what’s it like once you log in?
I’ll give you the run through.
You sign up and create your account, which only takes about five minutes. It will ask you a few questions about yourself and your trading history. Then, you get a quick activation email and you’re all set.
Once you log in, you’ll find that the market appears to be open only in the hours of the real market. However, data is delayed by one hour in order to not give an advantage to those who have access to live updating information.
Daily you will receive a rank based on how well you did in that day’s trading. You are able to create a watchlist of stocks, see all stocks, see your trading history and more. This looks like something that will turn out to be a good hobby for a lot of people.

This sounds like a really cool idea … and it’s free. No way to lose money. :)
