I have an idea for the Ultimate BPG.
Word Count: 469BPG-Blog Promotion Game
My idea is based off of many of the “viral marketing” websites that you find out there. However, this one is easy, fun, and free. I plan to start this up sometime next week, so read on to see exactly what I mean.
This will be a tagging game. I will make a list of 8 blogs and a short description:
1.JAB- JustABout Everything - a blog about technology, current events, and pretty much anything
2.other blog - you get the point
3.another one -etc
4.etc
5.etc
6.etc
7.etc
8.etc
If you’d like to be one of the blogs on the starting list just drop a comment; your PR may be glad you did in the future.
So, now that we have 8 blogs to start with, here is how the game will go. I will tag a few blogs besides my own with the list of the 8 blogs. Each of those will put their blog in the #1 spot, push the other blogs on the list down 1 spot, and delete the 8th blog from the list. Then, they will write a description of their blog, and add it next to their blog link in the #1 spot, and post it on their blog. This will fulfill their duty of being tagged. Now, for the cool part; you can tag as many people as you want, as long as they aren’t on the list of 8 blogs that you posted on yours.
It may not make much sense now, but once the game starts, you’ll get what I mean.
I’m going to explain how this game could result in a lot of new readers for your site because of the mass amount of blogs your link could end up on. Lets just assume that you tag 2 people, and each person following tags 2 people down the line. (Hopefully you’d tag more than 2, if you’re smart :P)
You tag 2 people. Thats 2 links. Those two people tag 2 more each, gaining you 4 more links, to a total of 6 links. Those 4 people tag 2, gaining you 8 more links, to a total of 14. Your blog is now in the #4 spot. By the time your blog ends up on the number 8 spot, you could easily have gained 254 links coming from different blogs around the net. And, the description that YOU wrote of your blog will follow those links, allowing more people to be brought to your site and therefore you have a much bigger audience.
So, I admit that this sounds VERY confusing right now, but once I start the game, it should make more sense. If you’d like to be one of the first 7 additional blogs on the list when the game starts, just drop a comment. (Any unfilled spots will be filled randomly) 1st come 1st serve!
