Horseback Riding

One thing that I have never done is horseback riding. I’m not talking about the little horse circle that they had at the fair when I was a kid. I want to actually go riding on a horse for several miles, preferably out in the western United States. I would need to learn quite a bit about how to ride a horse and perhaps invest in equestrian clothing or rentals, but it would be a really cool experience. Horseback riding is one of the ways that Americans explored the west, plus it just seems so much more exciting than exploring in an ATV (although that is something that I would like to try at some point as well).
