PublicRoutes.com allows you to get online directions for any method of public transit. This site is now available on PDA also, just in case you are ever away from the computer and you need to get directions. So, here is how this place could come in handy.
Imagine that you are in New York at your hotel, and its your first time in the city in your entire lifetime. The reason you are there is for a business meeting. You have the address but you have no idea how to get there! So, what do you do? You get on PublicRoutes, go to the New York city map section, and enter in your starting and finishing address. Its as easy as that! From then on all you need is the press of a button and you will then be able to navigate easily to your next stop.
