What is actually more likely to be the most efficient (and also to cost the least, as well) is a laser printer. It used to be that these were only for black and white, which meant that they wouldn’t work well for stuff like birthday or wedding invitations, but now the technology for full color (and might I mention that it is quite vivid color) laser printing is easily available at most technology stores at a pretty decent price. The best part though is that toner will cost you a lot less in the long run than buying new color ink cartridges all of the time.
