Faster than DSL, Faster than Cable Internet?
Word Count: 130Fiber optics is the new DSL/Cable. Its much faster, although more expensive at the moment. To buy fiber cable for your own in home personal use it isn’t too expensive, but if you’re going to run fiber cable over hundreds of miles, it costs a lot. Not to mention that the ISP’s would have to have servers capable of sending and receiving data at those super high speeds, otherwise the whole thing would be pointless and you might as well just stay with your cable or DSL. Within the next few years, Cable internet will still probably be the top internet choice for middle class homeowners. However, by the end of this decade, I predict that Fiber optics internet will be the majority used internet service for homeowner consumers.
