Well, right off the bat, I can think of two major different types: The Protestant Bible and the Catholic Bibles are a lot different, with a slightly different selection of books as well as wordings. Within the catholic bibles there aren’t many variations that I am aware of. On the Protestant ones, however, there are quite a few versions. There is NIV, which is my personal favorite, KJV, NKJV, NLT, The “Message”, etc. They are all pretty much the and translated the same for the most part, although some of them are worded slightly differently. KJV is old fashioned while NIV is more modern, the “Message” is a little over modern in my opinion.
