Dependable Car and Driver, Why so High Insurance?

I think that I might should eventually look around at sites like www.carinsurancelist.com, although it is a while until my current insurance contract runs out. Nonetheless, my current insurance rates are quite high - my car insurance is one of my biggest monthly expenditures when it comes to a single bill. I know that part of it is just because of my age and gender (males under 25 have much higher rates), but still, it seems like they should be able to look at the last few years of my driving record and see no ticket and no wrecks and that I am driving a dependable car. Oh well, I guess statistically I am still “high risk”. Still, I do think that I will compare around once this current contract runs out.
