Choosing a unique name

Word Count: 122

Have you ever noticed the unique names out there? Google, Yahoo, Ogio, Brinkstow (of my own invention), Ikea, Apogee, etc. One thing that I believe is that something will take someones attention sooner and perhaps stronger if the name is unique and not something that is used in day to day language. The next time you want to start up a new project or website, give a unique word a try, something that’s not already out there. You can change up an already existing word, or you can combine two already existing words, or you can just make something up completely from scratch. The beauty of it is that it’s 100% up to you what you decide to name your new projects!

The only problem I have found with choosing a unique name is the branding. If people haven’t heard of it before they will not know what you do. But if you get the branding the I agree a unique name is the best way to go.
