When considering brightness for your new LCD TV it is important to factor in a number of things, including the size of the room where the TV will be placed, its location within the room, the locations of any windows and the distance from the viewer to the television. All of these factors can affect the look of the TV, so it is important to recreate your home environment as much as possible while shopping for your new TV.

The Viewing Angle
Another important consideration for LCD TV shoppers is the viewing angle of the set. When looking at the TV in the store be sure to look at it from all sides. Look at the TV from the sides as well as straight on - that will give you a truer picture of how the TV will look in your home. When looking at the viewing angle keep in mind that depending on where the TV is placed some viewers will be looking at the TV from an angle, and it is important that they be able to see the TV from whatever angle they wish. If the image begins to fade away as you look at the screen from an angle that is a bad sign. It may be best to look for another TV with a better viewing angle.
