Building Durability through Weather

The popularity of framed metal buildings has been growing recently, especially in areas that deal frequently with hurricanes or tornadoes. I think that this is mainly because a metal building can withstand much more than the traditional wood framed building. I don’t know any of the specific statistics off of the top of my head, but I do know that these buildings have a much higher survival rate in the most recent hurricane landfalls here in the US.
