Alzheimer’s - Together, we can help.
Word Count: 471Life is a wonderful thing, filled with so many wonderful experiences. Yes, there are low points, but those times in life are what help us to become the person that we are. The people in our lives that we love and care about and live for help us to become who we are.
I want you to do something for me. Imagine the person that is the most important person to you. The person that you care for the most deeply; the person that you couldn’t live without. Stop and think about all the wonderful moments that you had with them.
Now, I want you to imagine that you knew that tomorrow, you wouldn’t remember them at all. If you saw them, you wouldn’t recognize them. You wouldn’t remember meeting them, you wouldn’t remember doing anything with them. They would be a complete stranger.
Although Alzheimer’s isn’t usually that sudden, it has a similar outcome. Once you realize that you have it, there isn’t a definite cure for it. And this can go the other way; if that person that you care about most gets Alzheimer’s, they could end up not remembering you at all.
Alzheimer’s is such a scary and terrible thing. It can take some of your most precious things from you or your loved ones: your memories. There is good news, however. There are foundations, such as the Alzheimer’s Association that sponsor events such as the Memory Walk. A walk that helps raise money for finding a cure and treating those with Alzheimer’s is truly a charitable cause.
In my area, there are three Memory Walks going on. The great thing is that they are all on different dates and locations, so that if you can’t make one, there is bound to be another one that you can go to. So far, I’m not sure if I will be able to go to one or not, because I have an extremely busy schedule; but I’d really like to if possible. If I do end up getting to go, I’m going to try and bring some friends along. I’m sure a lot of them would be glad to support a cause like this, and I hope that you would be too. If you can, click on the banner above and find the Memory Walks close to you. You can either sign up as a runner or as a team captain. The earlier you sign up the better. The Alzheimer’s Association is truly something that all of us should support.
The Memory Walk has raised hundreds of millions of dollars towards Alzheimer’s care and research. Together, if we all support those who are working to find a definite cure, it IS possible. Supporting this not only helps those with Alzheimer’s, but it may help you and the people that you love.

Thank you
It’s really cool to see things starting to get rolling already, just with me and my friends talking about plans for fund raising and etc.
