Allergic to a Metal
Word Count: 156Something about me that is interesting is that I am allergic to certain types of metal. I think one of them may be nickel, but I am not sure. I do know that I had to get titanium glasses frames to keep from getting a rash, and I often have to put clear nail polish on the backs of buttons and belt buckles to keep from getting a rash as well. Some people then ask if my hands get rashes after touching metal door handles, etc. No, it’s not quite like that - it has to be an extended period of contact. I wouldn’t necessarily have to get a copper kitchen sinks over a nickel based kitchen sink, because it’s not like I’ll be touching the sink for extended periods of time throughout the day. It really is an interesting condition that quite a lot of people have - I wonder what causes it, though.
