However, many analysts are unsure if these falling prices will be for the long run. It’s very possible, as long as speculators don’t drive the price of oil up again. (Heck, some studies show that without speculators, gas prices would be about half of what they are now) Hopefully this recent decline in gas prices will be permanent; it would really help the economy recover.
