I have two questions:
(1) Any picture will do? And what do you mean by “apply any special effects..”?
(2) Are you sure it’s OK to insert “JAB…” into the picture (water-marking)? Because if you didn’t take the picture, you don’t have any rights water-marking other people’s pictures. Or have I misunderstood you??
Perhaps you want to show an example?

Yep, any scenery picture. Special effects is just for fun, such as if you had photoshop and wanted to make a tree glow or a mountain shiny or something. Not needed, just for fun.
Its not really watermarking, basically I am having you all to make a scenery themed ad for my blog, and the best ad wins.
But sure, I’ll get an example up in an hour or so.

I’ve got some pics that I took. How do I add text to them.

Open them in MS paint and using the text tool is the best way to go.

You can find my submission for your scenery picture contest at my website. It’s a picture taken from our backyard last winter just before we were blanketed with snow for the winter. My wife took the picture, and I liked it so much that we’re currently having it printed on canvas to hang in our living room.
Good luck with your contest, I’ll be sure to check back to see the submissions you get.

Here’s an example/entry.
I actually have tons of landscape kind of pictures. Mostly… dealing with water and mountains. Tell me the color scheme you’re looking for I’ve got cools, warms, greens… oh and I can always resize the entries to better fit your needs? Most advertisements should be more wide then tall.

Deltarain, that is another great entry I think.
The scheme I like warms or cools, avoiding anything too neon but a little is fine. But thank you for the entries, and once we get a few more (3 or 4 more) then I will pick the winner.
About the size, I think any size is fine as long as it fits within the average blog post without stretching the screen.

Taken on a ranch formally owned by Tommy Lee Jones, this picture depicts our remuda on a soon-to-be stormy day with the Ft. Davis Mountains in the distant background. What is so special about it? Despite the predicted storm, rays of sunlight shine down on God’s Creatures.
